There is a good news for power sector employees. The wage revision of the employees of MAHARASHTRA STATE ELECTRCITY DISTRIBUTION (MSEDCL), TRANSMISSION (MSETCL) AND GENERATION (MAHAGENCO) COMPANIES was due with effect from 1-4-2013. Now with many rounds ofdiscussion with the employees unions of these companies, the management and Energy minister of Maharashtra have approved 25% hike in wages. The highlights are as below::
1. 25% rise in Basic salary as on 1-4-2013
2) 25% hike in existing allowances w.e.f. 1-4-2013.
3) Medical reimbursement facility for family including father and mother of the employee.
Further, it is decided to pay the arrears on account of wage revision w.e.f.1-4-2014 to 31-7-2014 in four installments. The new scales will be applicable from the salary of August 2014.
The details would be provided after issue of official circular in this regard.
